Therefore, much of our management focuses on combating climate change and minimizing plastic waste at all stages of the life cycle, as part of our environmental responsibility.
Since 2018, we became the first flexible packaging company in Central America to obtain the carbon neutral certification.
By 2023, we decided to multiply our efforts to minimize our environmental impact and limit global warming to 1.5°C, in line with the Paris Agreement; therefore, we decided to join the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi) to achieve the Net Zero standard.

We contribute to the creation of scalable circular economy models within the flexible packaging industry. In the last decade, we have surpassed regulations and have been able to convert traditional flexible packaging into 30-100% PCR and PIR packaging to use less virgin plastic and reuse more and better existing materials.
We Incorporated: 17.2 tons of recycled material into products in 2023
Today we manufacture recyclable packaging for various industrial sectors through our Recycling Plant and the Recicla 503 initiative.
In 2023, we achieved a 6% reduction in the total electricity consumption of our production plants.
We monitor electricity consumption in all our facilities in order to evaluate the energy performance of each plant, identify opportunities for improvement in processes, machinery and equipment, and set targets for reducing consumption.
Renewable energy projects with photovoltaic panels will begin at the Plan de la Laguna and Merliot plants in El Salvador, marking a firm commitment to sustainability and clean energy.
This transformation will reduce dependence on fossil fuels, lower operating costs, and contribute to a healthier environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, placing these plants at the forefront of energy innovation and sustainable development.
